Laura Sellers has lived in the Southeast all her life in states including Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Born on the coast, but now living in the mountains of Asheville, NC, Laura Sellers works with diverse forms of media including acrylic, watercolor, spray paint, photography, and pages from classic novels. She is influenced by the peace and tranquility of traditional Japanese art, as well as American folk art and the unique imagery created when East meets West. A North Carolina State University grad and graphic designer by profession, Laura brings a graphic element to her work with the use of photo gel transfers, type, and illustrations. Wide-open expanses, seasons, and regional animals are all themes of her work. You can find her painting at music festivals up and down the east coast.
